    Hi everyone,

I don't know if we've mentioned the Young Voices Study, it's a small team of people at Manchester Metropolitan University who've been speaking to lots of young people about their experiences of hearing voices, to understand what it feels like and what's helpful when it comes to getting support.

Along with a production company called Science Animation, the Young Voices Study is making three short films to show to adults who might be supporting young voice hearers - teachers, parents/carers, and doctors/nurses.

They've asked whether any forum members would like to read the scripts this week and tell us what you think. You could download them from this post and tell us your thoughts/ideas/suggestions, by posting them underneath or emailing us

All of your responses are welcome - they can be positive, negative, critical, or they could be an idea or a question - but if you'd like some help to decide upon your opinions, you could ask yourself the following things when you read the scripts:

    • Do you agree with the things the VO ('Voice Over') says?
    • How have you found it, talking to parents, carers, teachers or medical professionals?
    • Is there anything else you'd like them to know or to understand?
    • What should the young people in the video look like? What about their voices?
    • Do you think the films are realistic?

If you have any artwork, such as drawings, paintings or collages that you'd like to be included in the films, you can upload it here or email it to Voice Collective. The animators at Science Animation will try their best to include it

    Best wishes,
    forum facilitator
